From   Siddharth to Sakyamuni and finally to the Buddha or the Enlightened one an incredible transformation of a prince to an enlightened teacher, who walked the earth more than 2500 year ago.

Kapilvastu : The holy soul of Prince Siddharth spent his childhood.

Bodhgaya : The place where Prince Siddhartha meditated and finally attained Nirvana.

Sarnath : 2500 years ago Buddha chose to deliver his first sermon,after attaining Nirvana.

Rajgir : The teachings of Buddha were recorded in writing for the first time.

Kaushambi : He delivered several sermons, elevating it to a center of learning for Buddhists.

Kushinagar : The Tathagata, the reciter of truth, breathed his last with the last words.

Sravasti : Buddha is said to have performed some miracles here.

Vaishali : At Kolhua, Lord Buddha delivered his last sermon, hinting his last impending departure from the mortal world.

Nalanda : One of the oldest universities of the world. Both Lord Buddha and Lord Mahavira .

Buddhist Pilgrimage - Itinerary

Day 01:
Arrive Calcutta Welcome/Assistance at the International Airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Calcutta - Patna - Bodhgaya Morning transfer to airport to connect flight for Patna. Assistance at the airport and drive to Bodhgaya. Enroute visit Nalanda. Overnight stay at hotel. Welcome/Assistance at the International Airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 03: Bodhgaya Morning visit Mahabodhi Temple.Afternoon excursion trip to Rajgir. Rest of the time free for meditation. Overnight stay at hotel.
 
Day 04: Bodhgaya - Varansi Morning drive to Varanasi. Afternoon excursion trip to Sarnath. Overnight stay at hotel. Morning visit Mahabodhi Temple. Afternoon excursion trip to Rajgir. Rest of the time free for meditation. Overnight stay at hotel.
 
Day 05: Bodhgaya - Kushinagar Early morning boat ride on the Holy River Ganges. Also visit various Hindu temples. Drive to Kushinagar. Afternoon visit Cremation Stupa, Mahaparinirvana Temple, the modern Indo-Japan-Sri Lanka Buddhist Centre and monasteries. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 06: Kushinagar - Lumbini Morning drive to Lumbini birth place of Lord Buddha. Overnight stay at hotel.
 
Day 07: Lumbini - Gorakhpur - Calcutta or Delhi Morning drive to Gorakhpur. Direct transfer to Railway Station to connect overnight train for Calcutta/Delhi. Overnight on board.

Day 08: Depart Calcutta or Delhi Arrive Calcutta OR Delhi. Assistance/transfer to hotel. Afternoon half day sightseeing Tour.Later evening transfer to airport to connect flight for Home.
